Only BB really worth using past rank 5 and in general is OP. Lower pen, lower alpha, same armor as Gneis. The Scharn is technically worse than every other BB. Therefore, if the two lines apparently coincide in an image where there's significant distortion, in actuality the line between the upper and lower armor belts must actually be below the waterline. You can quite clearly see water above the line between the orange and yellow armor zones, and this image also has significant descending angle on the line. I dug up a higher quality image of Alabama's armor scheme from January, and it's clear that exactly what seems to be happening with your horribly compression-artifact ridden image is actually the case overall. I mean sure go ahead but there's no point because you're pretty clearly wrong.
If you look at the images, the waterline marker is actually shifted slightly up on the belt from where it touches the outer hull to make up for the angle and inboard distance between the outer hull and belt (the line thickness is also in play here, because the way WG's system works is entirely binary, something is either above or below water, separated by a 1 pixel wide line that wouldn't be easy to see on the image).īut I'll go ahead and take some pictures of the 3D model in the morning to satiate you.
